Lewisham Council is inviting tenders from experienced and dynamic catering companies to operate Broadway Theatre cafe and bars in Catford on a three year licence. Broadway Theatre is an art deco building of historic significance. It was opened in 1932 as the Concert Hall and is now a Grade II listed building.

A new operator at the cafe will mark the beginning of an ambitious wide scale regeneration plan in Catford that will see 1000+ homes built in the area, redevelopment of the Council offices, Civic Centre and Town Hall, development of a new retail offering and public realm focussed around the theatre. The cafe operator should act collaboratively with the theatre operator to serve theatre audiences during showings, but the space will also be open to the public, accessed directly from Catford Road.

Offers are invited in the region £40,000/an for the cafe. P.O.A for theatre bars.

The main café area on the ground floor is approx. 111m2 / 1,195 sq ft, with a roughly equivalent space located in the basement area currently comprising the kitchen and storage areas.
