There are going to be more opportunities to visit this our local nature reserve in 2017. As well as our regular “last Saturday” Open Days, starting April, which are an opportunity to visit, and look round at your leisure, the Friends are also organising some regular conservation volunteering opportunities, and visits to monitoring the bio-diversity.

So,on the last Saturdays, when the Open Days will continue be 1.00 to 4.00 in the afternoons, we will also be setting moth traps the evening before, and doing some bug hunting in the morning, with the idea of building up a picture of our invertebrates over the seasons. Get in touch by replying here, or via the contact forms on our web site

Then, on the last Tuedsays of every month from March, in the morning a group of us will be doing some conservation volunteering in the mornings, from 9.30,

and another group will be going round with cameras in the afternoon, from 2.30, to see what’s growing, flowering, coming into leaf.
