Word from someone who’s quite close to the owner is that it will undergo a proper refurb and re-open as an Indian restaurant.

Seems like the owner’s! have came to a decision to split what properties they owned together and split them, and it’s now just down to one landlord t(sadly not @Anotherjohn) to now let this one.

I think it’s a good thing and he seems to be moving on now with this

An indian restaurant wouldn’t be a disappointment to me if it was good and I would love to see it open again

Yes, an eat-in restaurant please. Although India Gate opposite Sainsbury’s is a bit of a favourite of ours.
