Food bargains for those financially struggling at Christmas

Please forgive me if I’m treading on local shops selling organic and locally sourced produce… This post is for those who are financially struggling this Christmas like I did for many years.

Just been to Lidl in Catford…huge, fresh bags of Christmas veg…potatoes, parsnips, carrots, sprouts… 19p each! Tesco in Catford, half and whole legs of lamb HALF price.

Just thought I’d say. Please don’t shout me down. Every little helps.

Don’t see why anyone should shout you down. That all sounds brilliant! There are a lot of families out there struggling & this is just the sort of help they need.
I wanted to donate via the Estate Agents in Honor Oak yesterday, but were told everything has been re-located to Deptford. Not helpful at all, so good on Lidl

A very decent and helpful post.
Xmas can be so stressful for low income families and people on the edges of society.

Turkeys Reduced in bell green sainsburies - seemed to be around a quarter or their original prices. Were plenty in stock when we were there around a hour ago.
