I fancy a bit of a Forest Hill Winterwatch given the snowy scenes upon us.

I’ll kick it off

Any shots of winter wildlife in SE23 please share here

I’m mainly inspired by the factI have just discovered tonight that a great tit (or could be a blue tit) sleeping in my swift nest box!

All photos from today in my garden!

No pix - but parakeets swarmed over Perry Hill this morning (Thurs).

Must be having to forage a little further afield today.

You know squirrels don’t hibernate, right? Not saying it’s not an appealing idea at the moment…

Forest Hill has such amazing wildlife! I looked out of my window onto the back garden and in the space of around 20 minutes I saw: parakeets, lots of redwings, a mistle thrush, 2 blackbirds, a robin, 2 blue tits, a beautiful fox running off with a massive rat I presume it had just killed, a male black cap, a great spotted woodpecker, a jay, a pair of magpies, a great tit collecting nest materials and carrying them in its beak (nest making in my swift box) and a group of goldfinches!!!
