Southwark Council intends to down Camberwell Old Cemetery woods and trees in the autumn for new burial plots.
The woods need your help - We have to stop them.

Come and help record the beauty and nature of the woods and get them declared Nature Reserves.

Monday 31st July from 10am - 4pm - it’s going to be fun:
Counting and measuring trees - ten acres of beautiful inner London woods to save.
Butterfly Count - with ID posters for everyone to count and to help record butterflies and moths as part of Butterfly Conservation’s Great #ButterflyCount.
Prizes for best drawings of the woods - drawing materials provided
We will also be recording plants and any other wild life you see.
Bring: cameras/video, drawing materials, packed lunch

Given recent decisions on creating additional burial sites protests do not count for squat!
Perhaps the real answer is to reduce the demand by opting for cremation with no demand for burials, less land will be claimed. Maybe the people who are selfish is those that take a plot for 100 years how many protesters will commit to no burials?
