Hello,

We’re holding our very first Kids Sleepover on Saturday 8 December from 7pm until Sunday 9 December, 10am.

This is a very exciting experience to see the Museum at night like no one has before! Come to the Museum once the public have left, and the Walrus is tucked up in bed, for a night of full of fun activities and exciting exploration such as storytelling, crafts and trails. Then roll out your sleeping bag and camp out in the galleries, next to a dodo, or even a tiger.

A light breakfast is included in the morning, plus hot drinks for the adults.

Please bear in mind that this will be a very exciting experience and therefore you may not get much sleep on the night!

Tickets are £60 per adult or child.
Suitable for children aged 5-11 only.
Each child must be accompanied by one adult.

Please see horniman.ac.uk for full details including essential information and to book your tickets.

It’s quite an elitist price!

It is pricey, especially if you have more than one child but similar to the sleepovers at the Natural History Museum etc. The NMH do allow more than one child per adult (after two).

I did do the adult version at the NHM which included dinner and full breakfast earlier this year and it was a lot of fun. It was pricey too but we reckoned by the time you pay for security, first aiders etc to work out of hours, it probably all starts to add up.

I’m sure it will be a blast though for those lucky enough to go. Enjoy!
