Dandiya Rass
Join in a workshop to learn the traditional folk dance Dandiya Rass which is performed during the autumn Hindu festival of Navratri in Gujarat, India. Led by our partner Apsara Arts.
Portable Print Studio
Try your hand at some screen printing with Portable Print Studio. Choose from some designs influenced by our Indian Summer to print onto a T-Shirt (£12) or a A3 poster (£5), before taking your creation home with you.

Bollywood Brass Band
Have fun dancing to Bollywood rhythms and classic hits in a joyful and colourful performance by this pioneering band who have performed all over the world.
Paradiso: Man’s Enduring Search for Perfection
Inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy and the astrological influences of the navagrahas (9 plants) of Hindu mythology, this performance is also an energetic celebration of dance. Produced by South Asian dance company Akademi. Two performances throughout the day.
DJ Nish
From 4:15pm, DJ Nish will be mixing Bhangra and Bollywood beats. Having appeared on the BBC Asian Network and played internationally, DJ Nish’s set is sure to get you moving.
Dance procession and Holi festival colour throw
Join us for a dance procession from 5.30pm ending in a Holi festival inspired colour throw. Led by Emergency Exit Arts and Bollywood Brass Band. Please don’t wear or bring anything valuable or that stains easily. Plastic ponchos will be available.
Gallery Tours
Join our Keeper of Musical Instruments, Margaret Birley, for a tour of the Music Gallery focusing on Musical Instruments from South Asia. The tour will also take in our new ‘Wind Organ’ installation from Ali Miharbi. Tours will take place at 12.15pm, 1pm, and 2pm, and last 20 minutes each.
