Innovative Music Scene in SE23

On a random search, I came across a band called ORKA who apparently hail from the Faroe Islands (that’s part of Denmark, but closer to Scotland … except further North and further remote, poor guys).

Now, what has this to do with SE23 I hear you gasp?!

Well, may you could take a look at one of the main member’s image on this photo:

We apparently have some new creative talent in the area. I love how their latest album says:

“Written and produced by Jens L. Thomsen and Alap Momin at Uptown Mixers, New York; Dartmouth Place, London; Støkumørk, Innan Glyvur.”

We make glamorous company!

You can also check them out on Bandcamp: https://orka.bandcamp.com/

And another which I discovered on the same search … yet dramatically different in style and content.

If you watch the following video you will certainly recognise the scenic Havelock Walk. I believe you might also recognise a fellow member of this forum, @emmad (aka Femme Free-Spirit)

However, before you start watching, this one is … explicit with a strong feminist angle. I found it hilarious (and clever) but then humour is rather personal, but the Four Femmes on the Thames did win the Musical Comedy Awards in 2016!!
