We moved into Ebsworth Street several years ago and we blocked up the light shaft, a wooden construction running a very old skylight in the roof, to the first floor landing.
We still have the shaft in the loft and we are wondering if it has any structural purpose or if we could just knock it down to make more space in the loft.
For those who have converted their lofts on Ebsworth and Bovill, was this structure easy to get rid of? Or was it structural?
