Naming the new Bakerloo stations

The Standard reports that part of the Bakerloo line consultation (one that I had hitherto overlooked) is the naming of the two stations on the Old Kent Road.

First Station options:
Burgess Park
Mandela Way
Walworth East
Thomas A Becket
Walworth
Albany Road
Old Kent Road North

Second Station options:
Asylum Road
Peckham North
Peckham Park
Old Kent Road South

none of these seem particularly exciting for what will become a major regeneration area in south East London. If I had to make a decision I would probably choose ‘Burgess Park’ and ‘Asylum’ (without the Road - like Angel).

From the get go it seemed political will favoured the Old Kent Road route rather that the Camberwell/Peckham option. But does this mean the Old Kent Road route has now been chosen?

Yes I believe the Old Kent Road route is now the chosen option.

Yes, this is the plan for the 2029 extension.
The Camberwell route is not happening, but there is consideration of opening a station on the site of the old Camberwell Station - a much cheaper solution to the Camberwell gap in the railway map.
