Haven’t been around for a week and I come back to see a new sign on the Dartmouth. “Business for Sale” anyone know what’s this about?

Dartmouth Arms Landlord (? still Enterprise) advertising tenancy of pub due to expiry of lease.
I wouldn’t have thought the size of the pub lends itself to social distancing, even if part of its parking is utilised as an al fresco dining area.

Do we know when the lease expires? Such sad news… IMO the best pub in Forest Hill, by a country mile. Such nice and chilled lots of the time and really friendly staff.

The Dartmouth Arms is listed on Ei Publican Partnerships’ website under their ‘Run a Pub’ area:

Hope someone takes it on. Such a lovely place. Good food too btw.
What I hope we don’t see soon is the high street full of boarded-up empty units…

I think good pubs in FH are likely to be okay - there is demand and with less people going into the city it might actually get more custom

Interesting to see they miss the Signal off as a competitor (despite it probably been the biggest!). 52k for 5 bedrooms in FH £870 per month isn’t the priciest for just accom and you get a pub handy, Rates are a little high…
