Pollution around primary schools

The Evening Standard has an article today about the primary schools in London with the most polluted air.
Hazeltine is our nearest with a reading of 44 (10 % over the legal minimum.

I remember a while back air quality readings near local schools being quoted as way over. Wonder what has happened to improve them.

Hazeltine primary school is right next to Bell Green, so the proposed major development work at BG would make this pollution even worse (especially during the building work). Something for planners to consider.

Indeed it is. But also good to see those close by the much revered South Circular are not up there, especially around here.

Of course you have to decide which is actually more polluting, higher volume of cars passing through unhindered, or a smaller volume, stop, start and spending longer there.

There are some quite seriously high readings out there which do need addressing clearly.
