Does anyone know more about the roadworks that have just commenced (10pm on a Wednesday) on the A205 just at the end of David’s Road?
It’s increidibly loud and I haven’t seen any signs up or any notification about it.
When they suddenly start at that kind of time, it’s usually one of the utility companies that have tracked a problem down that’s stopping service to someone. The clock starts ticking on compensation and they start working.
We’ve had both water and electric suddenly rock up in front of the house. The electric wasn’t entirely a surprise as it had been off for a few hours. I’d just come out of the shower when Thames Water showed up and said they were cutting it off to fix a leak.
