Run to help people and local projects

The running club I belong to, GoodGym, from Tuesday 25th July, is starting regular weekly runs at 18.45 from the Bridge House Tavern in Penge - previously I’ve had to go to the Glass Mill Leisure Centre in Loampit Vale. The way it works is that you run for about 30 minutes to somewhere where for about another thirty minutes you do some volunteering for a community group. Then you run back, sometimes throwing in some hill sprints, and do some stretching when you get back.

Here’s the link on the website, which refers just to Bromley,

but the runs could be to help voluntary groups anywhere within reach. I’m certainly thinking of getting them to help at Dacres Wood if we have a suitable project.

The people who come along to the runs from Glass Mill are a range of ages, from their twenties to one or two oldies like me - it’s a pretty good cross section, with probably more women than men.
