Mmm vietnamese. I have to be honest, I’ve not been to Archie Parker since I walked in and someone had their feet on the table which just put me off to be honest. But everyone on here loves it that I’m convinced I should give it another go. maybe a pop up is the way to go.

I sometimes find tables at Archie Parker on the small size. Okay for lunch or coffee bu not sure about dinner. Do you bring in more tables? How easy could you do table for 4.

Yes there will be other tables for the evening, so all the coffee tables will be replaced by your more traditional seating for hot food, and those can be booked for two or four or more - but that will be down to how Saigon Streat and co want to set it up.

Is there disabled access, toilet etc?

Simon

There is easy access from the street into the cafe but unfortunately the toilet facilities are all down a rather steep flight of stairs.

Really enjoyed the pop up tonight with Saigon Street. Great food with a home cooked feel - felt like something you would eat in Vietnam (and I have been there!) and I must say excellent value for money. Three starters, two mains, three bottles of beer and two glasses of wine for under £50 - thoroughly recommended.

Hi

We bring in new tables and rearrange the original table plan, so we can easily do a table for 4.

The last couple of weeks we even had some large groups come through, 7’s and 8’s, and received great positive feedback from them. For a large booking, we highly recommend booking in advance.

We hope to see you soon. Thanks

Had a lovely meal @Saigon_Streat @TheArchieParker last week. All very cosy. @TheArchieParker – please do something about your ceiling — it’s like an old office from the 90s!! Let’s down all the very nice setup you have in there. J

We’d love to but not a lot we can do with it st the moment. We’ve learnt to love it.

Not allowed to?

It would involve a lot of work for something that you only see if you look up.

It is possible to suspend a stretchy plastic membrane wall-to-wall to hide an unsightly ceiling—provided you don’t have ceiling-mounted lights. The Griffonier restaurant in Paris, a haunt of mine when I worked there 15 years ago, had one and it looked fine. One day the owners arrived to find the membrane full of water and bulging down to the floor. Someone in the flat upstairs had gone out and left the bath running.

Cant say I noticed the ceiling myself.

Well I think we should not focus on the ceiling rather talk about the supper club and local businesses making an effort to bring more diversity in there offerings

Hi! Thank you for your message. We can not confirm if we will be back - However, I can say that we love the space, the owners (Zoe and Simon), the people and the local area! So all very positive!

We do take away if it is the case you can’t leave the house, otherwise, hope to see you in the New Year!

Hi Nick

We will be doing all our other pop ups for one more week then breaking up for Winter break (returning Mid January 2017). The closest alternative would be our pop up in Crofton Park (Arlo & Moe) which will run this Friday and next Friday.

Thank you again for your support and also coming by to eat when we first popped up in Forest Hill! I hope we see each other again soon.
