Wing mirror snapped off or stolen in HOP

Our wing mirror has vanished, but the fact the car was parked with that side facing the pavement, and that it’s been very neatly removed, seems to suggest someone took it deliberately😡.

If you saw or heard anything on Ballina Street this week, please let me know.

And if you can recommend a BMW repair specialist, that would be much appreciated. Thanks locals.

What a pain. You shouldn’t need a BMW specialist for this, just the part from BMW (which they can find when you give them your licence plate number). Any mechanic should then do (and they can get the part delivered if you want). The part is bound to be expensive (and hence why someone took yours). I have had to buy a small part that was nicked off mine and found they charge you for the part and paint as it comes ‘blank’ from the factory.

Thank you! Where did you get yours repaired? Was it somewhere local?

After you have the shock of the price from BMW you might want yo try Eurocar parts they do pattern parts probably not the same quality and you will need some masking tape newspaper and a can of matching paint. Fitting should be easy no specialist tools required.
I Used to be in car parts biz they were about third of the price but sold biz years sgo.

Mine was easier - was the cover to the headlight washer unit that was nicked (of all things!) and it snaps in without tools. Re garages, I always go to Catford Hill Motors - he’ll happily sort this for you and may help you find the part from Euro car parts as Wynell said - Euro Car Parts are a good one to know actually. Catford Hill Motors have a friendly paint sprayer nearby so they could do the whole job for you - which may work out easiest.

When my daughter pranged new Mercedes the replacement reat light cluster was just under £500 so I looked for a used one on eBay and got it for £120.
