2020 has certainly been a very different year with a few very big things going on, but far fewer things overall and sadly the #events category has been sparse compared to a normal year in SE23. Still, as is traditional at this (low news) time of year, the following is a retrospective look at 2020 and beyond.
2020's Site News
In terms of the site itself, after setting up the site in May 2016, @anon5422159 indicated in March this year that he would like to hand the site on. Recognising that this is a valuable resource, and at a time when bringing people together is even more important than ever, a new owner was selected and the site ownership and data transferred to @ForestHull in early November.
Since then the site has continued to run smoothly, attracting around 10,000 page views a day with the usual mix of posts around local events, lost cats, items to trade and the never ending search for trades people that are affordable, available and quality. Going forward I hope this mix of posts and interests continues, but always welcome #site-feedback with constructive suggestions from any members.
Most of all though, I hope everyone can stay positive and I wish you all a safe and happy 2021.
